Hi,

i am new to widget development, and to this site, so a big hearty hug to everyone.

I'm trying to develop a widget to disconnect my dsl router from the internet to obtain a new ip from my provider after reconnect.

Therefor my dsl router has a disconnect.exe in it's /cgi-bin folder. So it is possible to enter "http://<router-ip>/cgi-bin/disconnect.exe into the browser address bar, and the router will disconnect and after that reconnect.

But i cant figure out how to send out the command to the router. i tried with xmlhttp request, but that doesn't seem to work.

Have you guys any idea how to do it ?

I appreciate any suggestions you might have, or information on where to get it.

Best wishes and happy holidays
