That'd be a pretty massive list Smile

Hi-

I have nearly completed this requested widget, but found one problem. When using the link posted above, feed://www.macupdate.com/mommy/universalbinary.xml, nothing loaded in the widget. I tried several other random RSS feeds, and isolated the problem. I dont understand why this link doesnt work.

If you either have another RSS list, or a fix to the code, please tell me. The javascript is from Apple's sample.

You have to replace "feed://" with "http://". For some reason, Safari changes it to that whenever you click on a feed, but it doesn't work in a widget.

If that doesn't work, try it with another feed, still replacing "feed://".

nope, that didnt work for this feed. both feed:// and http:// worked for almost all other feeds in this widget.

Other than the feed itself, I have completed the widget.

Here is a picture of the design and layout, with a sample feed from Apple's site (their new downloads...):

I'm having one other problem, with the backside. I cannot get the text and scrollbar to hide when it flips over. Here is the code:

Code:

function showBackside(event) {
   if (window.widget) {
      window.widget.prepareForTransition("ToBack");
   }

    document.getElementById('front').style.display='none';
    document.getElementById('search').style.display='none';
    document.getElementById('title').style.display='none';
    document.getElementById('date').style.display='none';
    document.getElementById('myScrollBar').style.display='none';
    document.getElementById('back').style.display='block';

    document.getElementById('doneButton').src = "Images/done.png";

   if (window.widget) {
      setTimeout("window.widget.performTransition()", 0);
   }
}

When I include the tages for 'title', 'date', 'myscrollbar' and 'search,' the widget no longer flips.

I also have them to reappear on showFront.

Never mind that, I've fixed it. I'm finalizing the widget. I actually made it into a generic RSS widget, that you can punch in any RSS feed, and it will display it. I hope you enjoy!
