For one of my widgets, I have an aqua drop-down list on the back. In order to keep it more organized, and more usable, I would like to add tiny images next to each item.

I've searched the web, and couldn't find anything really simple. Is this possible to accomplish with Javascript, HTML, or CSS?

Well, I suppose you might be able to have it so that there is a space before the text in the menu, and the images are separate objects that appear when you click the menu, but that might not work very well.

Edit: Oooooh, just thought of this, and I think it might work: have each option tag have an onmouseover event that changes the source of an image outside the menu.

Edit 2: It doesn't work; anyone know why?

to the second part:

That is not the affect im really going for, I would like to know how exactly something like that image can be accomplished, simply.

I've tried putting <img src=""> in the object, but it didn't work...

you could use DHTML and create a homemade dropdown list using a div tag with spans.
