I have tried and tried to get this working right, but continue to fail.
I need assistance creating a widget for my website & podcast. The creative & programming parts somehow have left the building.. for good.

My website is thinkmac.net and podcast is Mac Tips Daily! with over 1,000 subscribers - and they keep asking when a widget is coming.

Thanks!

I recommend you download Apple's SampleRSS widget from their Developer's site at http://developer.apple.com/referencelibrary/AppleApplications/idxDashboard-date.html. Go into the JavaScript of the file, and the first couple of lines (excluding the 70-line copyright and disclaimer) down, you'll find a URL for an RSS feed. Change this to whatever your podcast's feed is, and then it should show up in the widget.

One thing: If you're using Safari to find your podcast's URL, and you click the "RSS" button, the URL is going to begin with "feed://". You'll want to change this to "http://" so that the widget can pick it up.

After that, modify the graphics and any other aspects of it to suit your liking, and you're done. Enjoy!

I gave it a try, and I changed the code, like you said.. just to test it, and it doesn't seem to like my feed, it gives me an error.

I tried using:
http://www.think-mac.net/blog/atom.xml

Do you know why this could be giving me an error?

Thanks!

Judging by the feed URL, that is probably an Atom-formatted feed. Apple's RSS sample is only for RSS feeds.
