I have a cocoa app, and I'd like to give my users the option of seeing the app's window via Dashboard instead of through the normal app.

I'd like to have it work as follows:

- The app would not show its window when the app is not frontmost.

- When Dashboard is invoked, the app would draw its window offscreen, capture a screenshot of its window, and display the graphic of that screenshot as the widget.

Any idea if this is possible?

I guess the main sticking point would be to find a way of capturing a screenshot of the window. I'm not sure if this is available in cocoa or not.

I'm guessing it would be trivial to have an HTML wrapper to display the graphic as a widget...
