I done a search and tried a few things I found but none work. Maybe because I am all new to this.

I am doing my first ever widget after only owning my Mac for 3 weeks and I have done all of it except there is one cosmetic effect I cannot figure out.

How do you get the hand cursor with a mouse over?

Thanks.

Assuming you're using a style sheet, all you need to do is change the cursor property:
Code:
cursor: pointer;

Have tried that.. cursor:hand;
and also changed the z-index to 1 and still no joy.

Where are you placing it in your code?
The z-index won't effect the cursor.

Hello ...

Note that "pointer" is the cursor value if you want the hand. ("default" gives the arrow.)
