I suppose it's kind of neat - but doesn't the menu bar accomplish the same thing and doesn't waste extremely valuable dashboard realestate?

Yeah, it is. Don't download, if you don't want it smiley
I like it, so I made it for myself. And I posted it here, because I think it was nice enough and maybe somebody else would have liked it.

Best Date & Time Dashboard Widget to date. I keep it on the Desktop in the bottom right corner.
Good work. How about a dd/mm/yyyy version

how about making your own widget default.png, maybe one that is a bit shorter so that it isn't wasting so much space on the top and bottom.

Version 0.2
Abbreviation for Wednesday is Wed not Wen.
Short date shows wrong month.
As I said before how about a dd/mm/yyyy version & you can eliminate the commas.

Ok, I've corrected the Wednesday abbreviation, and the month in short date version. By the way, the short date version is dd/mm/yyyy, so what you're talking about? And as for the commas, I like them, so they will remain smiley.
If you wanna drop them simply right - click on the widget in Finder, choose "Show package contents", edit the Date.js file and remove them. The commas are on line 78.
Thank you for your feedback.

•Space waster. (anything that's could be made smaller is a space waster)
•This looks exactly the same as Apple's Goodbye World example.
•Include a screen shot so that i don't have to downlaod it and find i don't like it.
