Miscellaneous - WazzUpServ

Description: For WazzUpServ you need a server which is setup with a webserver like apache, the php scripting language and the phpsysinfo script. For demo purpose I have hardcoded one of my servers in the current release version of the widget.

Version 0.3.2b:
- Renamed (previously serverstate) to WazzUpServ
- UI completely redone
- HD Info added
- Network info added
- Sensors should work on some machines (let us know!)
- System info added
- Refresh time setting

Version 0.2.1:
- basic phpsysinfo parser
- basic transfer monitor with blinking point
- basic GUI

For more informations please visit WazzUpServ.

Donations for this project in any form are really appreciated. We would also like some good graphics for CPUs or manufacturers. Bug reports and some Dimes to keep the website running could also help in driving this project forward.

Feel free to email me about enhancements or any other ideas about this project that are in your head smiley

I like this widget. I can see a couple of enhancements that would make it truly useful for monitoring web servers.

1) Have a "not responding" message when the server page isn't reachable
2) It would be nice to choose which phpsysinfo content to display including additional items that aren't currently displayed.

All in all, a great idea and a good first attempt.

Hi bmcwhirt,

a new version is just is in the testing phase.
It is not customizable as I cant drop so much time on the project, but it shows now much more information, when you double click the widget.

Only thing missing is sensors - would be nice if someone can drop me a link to a phpsysinfo site with sensor data...

Thanks a lot,

OK, for those wondering, phpsysinfo can be found here: http://phpsysinfo.sourceforge.net/

It seems like it does not display disks on Tiger, and in order to get it running on OS X, you need to comment out the stupid "Work in progress" line (24) echoed in the top of includes/os/class.Darwin.inc.php

Two small bugs:

* Would it be possible to update the CFBundleVersion attribute in info.plist to 1.32b, for WidgetUpdate ( http://www.dashboardwidgets.com/showcase/details.php?wid=940 ) ?
* The image for P4 processors isn't displayed properly ( Try http://atlas.stereo.lu/phpsysinfo/i?template=xml for example )
