Math & Science - Download Calculator

Description: Ever wondered if you should even consider trying to download that HD movietrailer on your 28.8 modem, and get it down before you have to go to work?

Well wonder no more. Just type in the size of your download, the speed of your connection - and presto:

The widget will print the estimated downloadtime in a human understandable format - not like 3.061750 hours, but in days, hours, minutes and seconds.

It even supports entering multiple files, if your are for example downloading a split .rar archive.

New in v1.01: Minor updates:
Corrected an error with "size" being in danish when you switched to multi-file mode.

On the back of the widget, I have simulated radio-button lables with javascript, to enhance usability.

Is that the front? It looks like the back.

Yeah i'm with ian. It looks a bit too much like the back of many widgets. Please make it look different- lighter or darker grey would work fine.

Wouldn't the backside be a better place to fix the download speed?

Something that'd be even more "Apple" would be if URLs could be dragged and dropped from a web browser onto the widget. It'd then automatically retrieve the size and perhaps even ping the address to work out roughly how long the download will take.

Finally, have a "download" button to start in the users preferred application (another choice on the backside)... Only wish I could programme!

For the next version: Lighter front .. Check!

neeKlamy > I didnt wan't the speed on the backside since you might want to change it often.

The importing feature is a very good idea! and also a "start this download" feature - I will try to find out how to do that... I wish a could programme too smiley

Thanks so much for the input!

Next version is coming soon.. With the feature to calculate the size of a file, by entering a URL.
