Schedules - OnTour

Description: Never miss a concert again! With OnTour, you'll get comprehensive concert listings for your town. More importantly, concerts of artists in your iTunes will be highlighted in the 'My Artists' section of results so that you'll be sure to see them. A built-in sample player allows you to discover new music right within the widget. Also, you can publish your widget to the web and paste into any site that accepts html (myspace, blogger, etc). Finally, you can easily add or remove artists from your 'watchlist' of favorites on either your dashboard or web widget - and they will stay synchronized.

Like the widget, works well and is pretty accurate for my area. I'd suggest making it resizable, as well as being able to hide the iTunes banners on the side. Also, the concert text is kind of hard to read, maybe alternate highilighting each line a different color?

Good widget overall.

I installed...

It opened itunes unprompted, which is very annoying because itunes immediately starts updating podcasts and my itunes library is on a separate drive, which wasn't connected.

Several minutes later I'm still looking at a blank widget (apart from the logo). It doesn't tell me if its doing anything or not. I can't even turn it over.

I'm not able to establish whether this widget works outside of the U.S. or not? Does it work at all.

A potentially good idea, but it needs some serious fixes and clearer description.

The widget does require iTunes to be running because it's filtering the search results based on the artists in your library. If iTunes doesn't load, then you'll see the blank screen. The database has dates for the UK, Australia, and some for Europe. More will be added in the coming weeks.

I tried again...

...with my itunes library connected. Still the blank widget.

Deleted widget and reinstalled. Blank widget. Deleted widget, deleted 'widget-net.ontour.widget.plist' and reinstalled. Blank widget.

Tried it with itunes on and off when widget was loaded. Still blank window.

...moved widget to trash.

I have the same problem. iTunes 7 is running, the OnTour widget is installed, but all I get is a black screen in the widget.

I let it run for about 5 minutes, but still nothing loaded.

Has OnTour been tested with iTunes 7?

Yes, it works with iTunes 7. Make sure there are no dialog boxes or anything preventing iTunes from being fully up-and-running. Also, is your internet connection active? There have been a couple people with this issue, and I would appreciate your help nailing down why it's happening. Thanks.

I'm also getting the blank widget problem. iTunes 7 is open and I am connected to the internet.

We are working to isolate this problem. So far, it looks like something within Apple's osascript, but we're consulting with Apple to figure it out. Hopefully, we'll have a solution this week.

Also getting the blank widget problem with iTunes 7. I have an active internet connection and iTunes is open.

We found the problem (it was with osascript, or at least the way we were calling it) and we'll be releasing the fix Friday morning, Oct. 13. Sorry for the trouble.

It sounds like a great idea, but when I open it and type Houston, TX nothing happens, so its useless as far as I can tell.
