Wow, this is the most productive widget I have ever seen. It give relevance to my life and a purpose to live. </sarcasm>

Some people should put their talents to better use than breeding hatred.

<em>Haha, I wonder what political affiliation most of the Tiger users have...</em>

Both George W. Bush and Rush Limbaugh are known OS X users...

ibookster was clearly making a provocative statement with his widget (the photoshopped Rumsfeld and Bush make that clear), and here we are taking the bait, posting messages about how we support/don't support the Iraq war.

On the other hand, it *is* interesting information--especially to those of us who are U.S. citizens old enough to pay federal taxes. I think it'd be cool to see other widgets displaying politically-relevant information, regardless of the ideological bent of the authors. We've already got a "threat color" widget, but how about ones which display presidential approval ratings, or amount of money left in the social security fund, or number of Al-Qaeda operatives captured, or size of the trade imbalance with China? All interesting to track, whether you think it's good or bad. Don't just sit there griping or cheering, create widgets to give us information that might change our minds!

Excellent widget! Don't pay too much attention to those condemning it, they're the very same people who would rather have you not question things of importance in society today. Who blindly follow the dictates of a nutter like Bush, and if you dare question it, you're a traitor!!!

If people think this is silly, then what the hell do you think about all those daft widgets showing the current homeland security status? Bet those ones keep little Timmy safe n sound in his little bed at night.

Great stuff.

Calm down. It's a widget. But definitely more useful to me than the Norwegian yellow pages.

yup. It might not be the prettiest widget ever made (cough), but it sure made people speak their mind...mission completesmiley

I like the concept, would like to see more details for example per state and the other comparitive details on costofwar.com

And thanks Joe Hughes for your level headed comments.

Thanks for the widget.

Oh, and let's see... Which is more "lame" and more likely to succeed in "breeding hatred," a war started under false pretenses or an OSX widget.

I can't download this widget... it makes me way too angry.

Breed hatred?? Yea right. They would rather keep their head in the sand. I guess when the truth hurts it is hatred. Unfortunately, we are all part of the truth.

GREAT WIDGET
I thing this is a grat widget, because it shows how uselessly this war is! But I miss one thing, there should be a counter for the thousands of dead soldiers and civillians which die for so called "fredom" .

So shut up StevenAndrewMiller, dukemeiser, Tiranis, pistolpete and ovitz!! If your country is taking part at this war, whos money do you thing they take to pay it?
-Yours

Thank you!

I'd love to see that money going to cure cancer or feed children. Or even for national security! But not for Halliburton and equally misguided causes smiley

I'm proud to be an American, and proud that so many Americans do NOT blindly follow the government. That's simply not what America is about.

It's good to know that not all americans are a bunch of "sheeple"

People this fine country was founded on dissent. Questioning & checking your government is PATRIOTIC.

ibookster I admire your candor. Thank you for taking you personal time to express and share your first amendment right with us.

Sucks, but cool (see detiled rating).

It's funny how these people get really pissed off at this widget, but still download it (or at least looks like they do, since up to now 1273 people have downloaded it).

Posted by: hackand on Jul 07, 05 (5:07 AM) for version 0.1pr (current version)   View Detailed Rating

Whoa,
This is a great widget. This war is usless and killing people for no reason. I like the gun, it looks funny. We need more democratic widgets like this one. Skrew war, skrew kill-for-no-reson, skrew Bush. Go iBooker.
Just My thoughts
