At the bottom of the widget is your "real" Internet IP. Click the globe-icon to see a list of your last IPs and the ping results.

There are many options in the preferences. There you can choose from 3 different skins, supply some email addresses so the widget can send you a notification if your IP changes, and other options.

New in v1.5: * Added more information like proxy settings and gateway-pinging
* Option to also display the inactive interfaces
* Detects if your Mac was asleep and does a refresh
* Notifying IP changes is now done by the new plugin and is thus much more reliable
* Better animation and other layout improvements
* Now supports double-byte chars as location names (many thanks to Warren Liu!)
* Fixed the animation bug
* Dropped IPv6 and Broadcast address; it's of no use at the moment
* Wrote a help text on the back of the widget

Okay, I fixed that one. If you encountered problems with your LAN-IP, just download it again.

Great Widget!!!

This is a widget I'll truly use on a reqular basis. I play X-Words Deluxe (Scrabble Clone) over the net and having quick access to my WAN IP is a must. Users need to now it to connect to my game session... Anyway, I really appreciate the time you spent on this.

However, I only gave it 3 stars, because my LAN IP is not showing up correctly. I know you re-posted to fix an issue with it, but apparently it's not completely fixed.

Otherwise... THANK YOU!!!

Just wanted to let you know that I found what was causing the problem with the LAN ip with Airport problem... At least in my case.

For what it's worth... in your perl script get_internal.pl I changed $ip = substr($_, index($_, "inet"smiley + 5, 15); to $ip = substr($_, index($_, "inet "smiley + 5, 15); Notice the additional space after inet. In ifconfig, I have two listings for inet... inet and inet6 it was picking up the inet6. The additional space fixed the issue. Although, not sure if this will work in every situation.

Hope this helps!

Thanks jrw. Somehow my comment disappeared: I alredy fixed this one, but was not able to upload the new version here (since I kept the same version-number). I'll later upload the final widget with some new features like IPv6 and stuff.

But thanks anyway. =)
