Math & Science - Timecode Calculator

Description: The Timecode Calculator is both fun and entertaining. Well, at least if you do a lot of video editing and can't be bothered to do timecode math in your head.

This widget does basic addition and subtraction of two timecodes. It is useful for people like my brother.

Enjoy,

Love the idea. The design is horrible however. Looks so un-aqua/mac-like.

very useful, but ugly...

Only for NTSC / 30 fps. Adding support for 25 fps and 24 fps would be nice. Also graphics need lot of work.

I agree with adding support for 25/24 fps. 35mm film feet would also be useful!

It needs a less busy background. Or just Aquify the current one. Aqua tutorial: <http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/articles/bice/aquatutorial.php>

This widget could be hugely popular, it just needs a bit more work.

Needs to be able to calculate any and all:
24fps
25fps
30fps NDF
30fps DF
60fps
35mm 16frames/edge
16mm 20frames/edge
16mm 40frames/edge
Frames

Complete UI redesign.
Replace BG with simple aqua shade.
Change colour behind the numbers to a light grey or white.
Numbers should be in neutral colour - Black/Grey/White bepending on BG.
Remove the word "Timecode" (What's it for?).
Make it into a real calculator - it needs + - x / = buttons
Add a history/notepad type area to show previous calculations.
Make the whole thing much bigger - about three times the size with large type.
Charge about $10-$15 for it, it will be well worth it if it has all these features.

Nice job to this point, now make it awsome!

This thing could be great- I'd pay as much as $30 for it... IF... I could read it. Blue text on black just doesn't work, ever. Make the text legible from at least 3 feet, esp. for those of us with less than 20-10 vision.

As a side note: the overall visual style, if one should decide to call it that, reminds me of the first early-90's web pages. Simple, elegant, high contrast colors and fonts, please. Think Aqua.

To end on a positive note- there are hundreds or thousands of us audio and video engineers who would love to see this work and would be willing to pay money for it- please take these comments constructively!!! smiley
