Excellent! Simply excellent. A simple digital clock. Just what was missing in Dashboard.
The only thing I'd like to see, would be colour options.

The colors are nice, but how about a 12-hour clock option??

Excellent, this was really missing. Great work!

Good work Hobbes!, this is one of the good widgets that we certainly need on dashboard.
The colors are very nice btw!

Hobbes,

I agree with mjgrothaus. Great design, but there needs to be an option to choose a 12-hour clock with am and pm. Also, it would be nice to be able to make it bigger. I don't know why Apple didn't include a digital clock widget with Tiger.

Hobbes,

Okay, you have fixed the 12-hour clock problem. But, it would be nice to be able to turn off the seconds and to have AM and PM show. Also, check your spelling on the color turquoise. Finally, is there any way to make a larger version or to have the size be scaleable?

Looks great. Now, if you're really feeling creative, how about an alarm!

Posted by: AutumnFire on May 27, 05 (1:51 AM) for version 2.0 (previous version)

i like small, space saving widgets. i have a very cluttered dashboard.

Posted by: IanTheMacFan on May 28, 05 (12:23 AM) for version 2.0 (previous version)

Either both colons should flash or neither. There should be an option on the back to turn the flashing on and off. Otherwise it's asymmetrical.

oke I put it on my "to do" list.

Hobbes:

Thanks for the improvements. However, there are still a couple of things that bother me. When the time is 12:00 am in the morning, it displays 00:00 am. And instead of 3:00 pm in the afternoon, it displays 03:00 pm. Why the zero in front? Finally, I think an extra large size would be good to have. Fix these things and the widget will be perfect.

ps: see this web site for an example of a great looking clock: http://macalarmclock.com/

No, that clock is nice.

Posted by: Boramor on Jun 17, 05 (1:02 AM) for version 3.5 (current version)

Just about perfect... the only thing on my wish-list is the ability to show different time zones, not just the one I currently occupy.

...fingers are crossed (I wish I wish I wish)....

Very nice, simple digital clock
would be nice to be able to display the date with the time as well, especially once you get the alarm option working

There's room for multiple alarm clock widgets, I'd like to see this one with an alarm.

Posted by: pm (Administrator) on Jun 17, 05 (6:29 PM) for version 3.5 (current version)

Multiple alarms would be useful here too... Along with multiple time zones?...

(STILL wishing here...)...!

those widgetmachine things are big and ugly and you have to pay for half of them!

actually... the flip-clock and the iTunes-remote are the best widgets that they currently offer for free and those are the best widgets for that purpose I've seen yet... they did a great job on those

the rest: I don't like or i don't need them (the latter one is mostly the reason)

Posted by: GrannySmith on Jun 29, 05 (7:20 PM) for version 3.5 (current version)

the flop-clock widget is a space waster!!!
it's at least 4 times as big as this one.

The only way to possibly improve this is to add more sizes and maybe a classy, transparent skin like glass with a wooden frame and easy-to-see letters (dark/light). That's my personal ideal. But there are plenty of great skins.

Of what I've seen, no other widget shows as much consideration about the user end as this. Great job.
