Decorative - Pixel

Description: Pixel Widget (PW)
PW is the tiniest widget in the world. No bigger than a pixel. You might have to really look for it, it's just there, all it does is sleep. In the next version it might decide to talk; who knows? -smiley

Sometimes a Widget should just be for fun...

I have your lyric tracker and love it. I'd checked out the www.lexink.com site you listed in your profile and bookmarked it since I'm a freelance writer here in NYC. Anyway, out of curiosity I downloaded it, i mean the tiniest widget in the world - where did you get the idea? it's hilarious! Ok so people are probably going to "kill" you for doing it, but it's such a wonderfully weird idea! smiley

LOL that girl REALLY liked this widget! It is out of the ordinary..... smiley

This is the most useful widget ever! I suggest color in the next version. Like Smart Color Technology! So it blends in with whatever colors around it!

lol, it's a false "dead pixel" of the screen ?

Posted by: Kisco on May 25, 05 (2:37 PM) for version 1.0 (previous version)

This widget is just like that pixel on my 23" Cinema Display. Except that it's free and removable, whereas I paid $3500 for the display and it won't go away. Now I can feel like I'm at home when I'm using my PB!

It would be even better if we could choose the color.

Is it posibble that in the next version de pixel takes te color from his neighbour pixel?? So I can use it to hide my real dead pixel smiley

I love it! Everyone should have it!

"Is it posibble that in the next version de pixel takes te color from his neighbour pixel?? So I can use it to hide my real dead pixel"

that is possibly the single greatest idea I have ever heard. Holy crap man that's genius. Just open dashboard developer mode, put it permanently on your desktop and no more dead pixel. I'm astonished. that would be fantastic.

I just came to a realization, and I am an idiot. While it would be cool, I see now that it would not be possible. Man do I feel stupid.

Why is tis not possible??

Posted by: Hobbes on May 26, 05 (7:59 PM) for version 1.0 (previous version)

Because, if you try to put it on the dead pixel to cover it, it won't show up because the pixel is dead!

Anyway, great concept. I like it a lot.

Thanks for all your comments Letty, Kisco, zicklepop, PSM, fatherfork, mrpizzaj, marie, onebittenapple, Yota, Hobbes, i am glad that you find Pixel Widget (PW) as funny as i do.
A friend had told me not to upload PW because people would not get it, I am very happy to read that he was wrong. It's cool to see that yes, we've all been widgetized but hey, we've still got a sense of humour!
I can't do anything about a dead pixel, as you clearly explain maxintosh, but rest assured everyone: PW will be back... soon... He's heard your comments about color and is busy preparing for his upgrade smiley

Widgets are really starting to be more useless than useful...they should serve a purpose.
"cute" is like "whatever".

What color is it? i cant see a thing!!!!!! oh now i figured it out. you must close the shelf.

Some things in life Benito should be just for fun - not everything can be useful smiley I think it's cool to design a widget, wish I had an idea and knew how.

Anyway, I like alexd's sense of humour...and I like Pixel Widget. It's whimsical. the world needs humour and whimsy smiley

If all of you all have bad pixels, why don't you send the screen back to apple? You should never have to "settle" with a bad pixel. Especcially if you spend over 2 grand on a cinema display!

Another example of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should".

maybe ziB, but like I've already posted - not everything in life *needs* to be useful - the world needs more humour and whimsy wouldn't you agree?

Holy Crap! Fatherfork and Maxintosh - I Haven't laughed so hard all by myself in a long time smiley I was totaly going along with this brilliant idea of covering a dead pixel!! Can I get a resounding DUH! ?

Whoa! There's a new version, it's only a pixel large, what is there to update?

For those of you who have stuck pixels, try Pixel Fix widget, which helps a lot. Since I have created it, it has cured 5 of my pixels, along with countless other pixels that I've been told of.
