I love the idea, but unfortunately, it is not yet a 1.0 release, at best it's a beta.
Clicking in the "i" opened the System Preferences once, some apps may just vanish from the dock if you add another and sometimes its just not possible to add more apps to it.
And please give back the DashDock the corners you cut off! smiley

I didn't have a problem with it at all. Thanks for a great widget. Good Job!

very cool. This is probably one of the most useful widgets. I don't use it to replace the dock, rather compliment it wit other stuff.

I am also amazed that it is good about CPU and Ram, something many widgets aren't.

In think in the next version you should make it so that you can rearange stuff easily

Overlooking the fact that t wont let you add many applications, but allows others. And doesn't allow folders. This has a lot of potential.

I like to keep my "main" dock as clutter free as possible. I put the dashdock right above my main dock, and put some of the secondary apps I use a lot, but not everyday.

This is a great start!

Nice widget, really useful, too.

I agree that in the next version it would be good to be able to have ability to arrange the apps on the dock easily.

Also, perhaps it might be better to have the text ABOVE the dash dock (like the real dock) instead of the bottom? I keep the widget on the bottom of my dash (over the semi visible real dock) and the text disappears off the bottom of the screen. Just my 2 cents smiley

Good ideas, but the placement of the done button and of the remove (X) button leaves quite a bit to be desired. Otherwise thumbs up

For some reason nothing happens why I drag things from my Applications folder. Does it have to be in Icon display first? What else might I be doing wrong?

Great idea, but many bugs.
--For some reason, it only allows a small # of apps
--pressing the i opens the far right app
--text could be above the Dock

Otherwise Great!
-room for improvment!!!

--note to Caseyfem--
yes, the apps have to be in Icon form

Maybe a stupid question: But can't figure out how to drag an application from the Finder window which is below the dashboard to the widget sitting on the layer above it?

Splendid widget! By placing several versions of this widget on my dash, I'm able to create "families" of mini-docks ... one for iLife apps, another for audio recording/playback apps, etc.

My only suggestion for a future update: Please make the icons "moveable" within the mini-dock.

Great job!

Ah, finally figured this out - and apps can be in list form or icon form. Click on the app you want to add, then drag it toward the hotspot for launching Dashboard. When it opens, keep dragging the app's icon to the DashDock. Seems each one can hold four (or so far that's what I can get it to do).

Now that I see how this works - I'm a definite fan. I'll look forward to the next release's improvements as well .. and I agree that movable icons would be a great next step.

Beautiful. Just what I needed. I now have a secondary dock to access. I've cleared up my primary dock of apps that I use but not on a daily or sometime weekly basis. Very nice. Most app. drop nicely.
