Decorative - Pill Reminder

Description: I made this for myself, but decided to share it. It is just a simple image widget reminding you to take your pill, should you have one to take. When the task is done, click the widget and it will flip over and stop bothering you with a "Done" message.

Yes, I know this isn't useful for most people, but who knows- it could help someone. (it just reminded me)

I hope to update it in the future to reset the message to "Take your pill" every day.

I just got my tonsils out and have to take painkillers every 2 hours... so this is wonderful!

I wish there was some kindof timer implemented but its a good start, Thanks!

What about a "Take your bath" widget?

or a "Take it easy" widget...?

This is a GREAT idea, and is a good start.
I have at least 5 different types of medication to take, and they all have to be taken at different times! This can get confusing, and I often forget to take things.

Would be great to have some sort of scheduling feature added to this.

Maybe what I need is an actual reminder/scheduling application to remind me to take everything. Might as well just turn on reminders in iCal! Hmm...

onto a good start.

maybe just a pill without the text (maybe dropped opacity) and then at a time everyday (or when it's set to) the pill glows (grabs your attention ((maybe an animated gif of glowing)) and maybe text then.

i like it.

I like it. I think, for those who have to take multiple pills every day, you should make this widget customizable, with different colors and shapes of actual pills into the design. That way, you could just put lots of different pills on your dashboard, and know which ones you have and haven't taken.

Good idea adam. I'll consider doing that if I get free time... meanwhile if anyone else wants to, feel free.

This would be so great if it reset itself. Please keep working on it!

First: VisualCue - add visual pill-icons of pills from an emoticon like panel along with pill name (editable). You get this from any Dr. who carries a pocket PDR or drug rep. Edit pics for 2X, 3X, 4X pill icons for patients who rely on *visual* reminders.

Second: Alarm - add 24hr. Alarm functionality to each pill-icon. Different alarm sound for different Rx. Some meds are strict about *when* each pill must be taken.

Third: Scheduler - build-in Frequency, Once, recurring, etc... Check out the best scheduler interface on the planet in PSION software on their palmtops.

Fourth: Reminder - Bubble Alerts provide TXT reminders to perform some related task per event. (ie. 8 oz. water) Like gripe panels.

This widget will generate revenue for you because people need such a widget.

There is a conflict between this widget and the Apple Logo widget that it was based on that will prevent it from being installable while Apple Logo is installed. To correct it the CFBundleIdentifier value in the Info.plist file should be changed to "com.homepage.pillreminder". This can be done by ctrl-clicking the widget, selecting "Show Package Contents" and opening the Info.plist file in the Property List Editor utility.

This should be corrected by the author though.
