Miscellaneous - SnippetComposer
Comments

Works as advertised! My only suggestions would be:
() Resizable
() Allow for a quick-save to a file.
() Allow for a template to be saved. ie, a document with "<html>,<body><head><title>" tags already layed out can be saved and customized by the user.
() Insert a checkbox to temporarily save the file to the local apache webserver (localhost) so that PHP can be tested also.
In fact, if you'd like, I could implement these features if you lack the time.
Otherwise, great work, and i'm enjoying this widget.

Nice widget! What I would like to see it have is:
- The function to have backgrounds and images within the widget.
- <a href> tags that when you click the link in the bottom window, it'll open up in a browser.
But if it's impossible or would take a lot of work, don't worry about it. It's still very useable.
All in all, great widget! I use HTML commands on my website journal, so it's really useful to show a preview of what it will look like before I try it.

Thanks so much for the constructive comments (unlike the ugliness at MacUpdate.com, what's up with that site?)!
Resizable - excellent idea, one I'll work on
Quick-save to a file, templates, and saving temp files to the file system - my first thought is that these would be beyond the scope of this widget's raison d'etre; this is meant for writing quick snippets of code, not for being an HTML editor, per se; but, I could be wrong! convince me!
Designating a background image/color - good idea! would make it easier to confirm that your code is going to fit in to the design of the site to which you're posting; I'll consider this feature
Clickable HREF tags - this would be a *very* useful feature for testing your links to make sure they work; I'll look into the technical feasibility of this (widgets use a different way of opening links than regular web pages, so I'm not sure how easy this will be to implement)
Another feature I just thought of would be a drop-down (or some other interface) for inerting HTML tags. Hmm. I guess this is why it's a 1.0 release!
Again, thanks for the comments!

Excellent widget, and very useful. My first priority would be resizable. The other suggestions would be great as well.
Thanks for making this available.
I wish I'd thought of it. Which is the best compliment I can imagine.

Great idea.
How difficult would it be to make it parse Markdown before displaying the HTML?

Hmmm, you know what I'd like to see? Something like this for bbcode... you know, [b] instead of <b> and handles [img] and [size] etc. Would be an interesting additional widget for we board warriors.
